African Union – HISWA, HISWACA and EARSPR – Aide Memoire – ISM November, 2025

The World Bank conducted an Implementation Support Mission (ISM) from 3rd to 8th November 2025 at the STATAFRIC office in Tunis. The mission covered three projects, namely; the Harmonizing and Improving Statistics in West Africa Project (HISWA - P169265) and the Harmonizing and Improving Statistics in Western and Central Africa Project (HISWACA-SOP1 - P178497) and Eastern Africa Regional Statistics Program for Results Project (EARSPR -P176371). The objective of the mission was to assess the implementation progress of the three projects and address issues related to technical components, procurement, financial management, and environmental and social aspects. The mission also reviewed the implementation progress of agreed actions of the last mission and made important recommendations. The Aide Memoire contains details of the findings of the mission and agreed actions.
